IH Portugal Training Day 2024

IH Portugal Training Day is a yearly event held at International House schools across the country, where teachers get together to share knowledge, meet old friends and make new ones.

On Saturday 27th January 2024 IH Coimbra – Olivais and Santa Clara was once more the host for IH Portugal Training Day. Schools from Braga, Viseu, Porto, Lisbon and Torres Vedras joined us in Coimbra for a day of enriching sessions on topics that ranged from Grammar, Reading and Writing to Specific Learning Difficulties, Cooperation in the Classroom and AI, among others.

It is also common practice at IH Portugal Training Day to hold a bake sale, the proceedings of which revert entirely to a different charity each year. This year’s choice was Mamie Martin Fund, established in 1993 in order to help ‘advance the education of girls in secondary school in North Malawi’. (https://mamiemartin.org/)
